Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound in the first trimester pregnancy. Methods Pregnant women with gestational sac within 70 mm from the skin were selected by abdominal ultrasonography and further examined with high-frequency ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound respectively. The images of gestational sac, yolk sac and embryo were compared between two examinations. Results Of 108 pregnant women,high-frequency ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound showed gestational sac, yolk sac and embryo in 94(87.04%) vs.97(89.81%),82(75.93%) vs.85(78.70%),and 58(53.70%) vs.58(53.70%),respectively.There was no significant difference in the detection rates of these indicators between the two methods(P0.1).Conclusion Both high-frequency ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound examinations may effectively show gestational sac, yolk sac and embryo in early pregnant women with thin belly.
