Abstract

Pamphlet to accompany Geologic Map of Tooting Crater, Amazonis Planitia Region of MarsTooting crater has a diameter of 27.2 km and formed on virtually flat lava flows within Amazonis Planita, Mars.The impact crater, which is located approximately 1,300 km west of the summit of Olympus Mons volcano, is very young and so provides a rare opportunity to map geomorphic units that are typically lost to erosion at older craters.Tooting crater is classified as a Multiple-Layered-Ejecta (MLE) crater.
