Abstract
The fast urbanization,especially the more and more outstanding urban problems,makes the suburb planning and development becoming hot issues which must be faced.Based on the brief review of the development of American suburbs,this paper introduces the suburb planning details of American metropolitan areas and discusses its helpful references to Chinese suburb planning and development.
