Abstract
Based on field experiment,the effect of regulated deficit irrigation on yield,water use efficiency and economic benefits of broad bean were studied in Qinwangchuan irrigation region.The results showed that the yield of broad bean increased 14.05 % and 9.09 %,saved water 10.92 % and 4.14 % and increased economic benefits 16.16 % and 21.94 %(soil moisture maintained at 60 %~65 % of field capacity)by light water deficit in seeding or jointing compared with full irrigation treatment(soil moisture maintained at 70 %~75 % of field capacity).So the light water deficit in seeding or jointing can be considered the optimum deficit stage and deficit degree.
