Abstract
Objective To investigate the chemical constituents in the n-butanol extracts of Chaenomeles speciosa. Methods Multi-chromatographic methods including Silicagel column chromatography and Sephadex LH-20 gel permeation were employed for the isolation and purification. The structures were identified on the basis of chemical evidence and spectral data. Results Eight compounds were isolated and identified as 1,2,4-Benzenetriol(1),gallic acid(2),epi——quinide(3),5-Hydroxynicotinic acid(4),p-coumaric acids glucosyl esters(5),p-hydroxybenzoic acid glucoside(6),(6S-9R)-roseoside(7),Vomifolioll-O-β-D-xylopyranosy-6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(8). Conclusion Compounds 1~6 were obtained from this genus for the first time.
