Abstract
Based on the specimen collection and identification, and referring related literatures, the composition of spermatophyte flora and its geographic elements in Lishan National Reserve,Shanxi were studied. There were 111 families,499 genera and 1 246 species of wild spermatophyte.Among which gymnosperms include 4 families,5 genera and 8 species, and angiosperms include 107 families,494 genera and 1 238 species. The angiosperms are composed of dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous, having 93 families,399 genera and 1 040 species, and 14 families,95 genera and 198 species respectively. In the flora composition, the temperate elements, having 28 families and 337 genera, accounting for 25.23% in total families and 76.94% in total genera(excluding cosmopolitan),occupy a dominant position. This distribution of the flora reflected Lishan National Reserve had the obvious characteristics of temperate flora. While the tropical elements consisted of 42 families and 90 genera, accounting for 37.84% in the total families and 20.53% in the total genera, which indicated the flora had some connection with tropical flora historically. The endemic to China was the largest among all of species elements, consisting of 500 species, and the elements of Temperate Asia and East Asia were on second and third place.
