Abstract
Based on the survey of 790 households from the rural area in the south of Jiangsu Province,the paper compares the fertility desires of childbearing age women between one-child family and two-child family,and utilizes regression model to analyze the factors which influences the fertility desires.The results indicate that there is no prominent difference between the childbearing age women from two kinds of families on the desired number,sex of children and birth spacing.As far as the preference age of last child bearing is concerned,the women who have two children have the younger preference age compared with the women who have one child.Regression-based-analysis shows that there is significant difference in the influencing factors on women's fertility desires between families.
