Abstract

Applying the spatial data analytical methods, this paper analyzes the urban inequality of cities in the coastal urban belt in Liaoning. It is attained that Dalian is in the process of obvious polarization and the middle and small cities develop slowly and change unobviously so the spatial structure presenting a clear core-periphery-edge model.Furthermore,it reveals the evolution order of spatial structure in the coastal urban belt in Liaoning. The authors find that the regional development has experiences from point-like expansion to point of ring expansion and point-axis expansion, and tend to integration in the future. So far,the development axis is formed and the pattern of spatial structure is one core-one axis-two wings model. Finally, according to the usual law of the spatial structure development for urban agglomeration and the macro background of regional development, the paper put forward some approaches of structural optimization which are:(1) implement spatial organization in accordance with the pattern of points-axis with development nuclei and development axis;(2) bring forth new ides in the regional organization of administration.
