Abstract

The article takes the two TM image data of the year of1987 and 2000 as the information source,extracts two land desertification data,sets up the databases and gets the land desertification dynamic maps from 1987 to 2000 in Zhenglanqi.it statistics and calculates the conversion area among different degrees of desertification of the area for the past13 years,the land dynamic transfer will be established by the conversion matrix method from 1987 to 2000.The results show that: the desertified land is from 5593.8km2 in 1987 to 6015.3km2 in 2000,the average rate of development 32.4km2 / Years.The land is serious desertification,which mainly exists the mild and moderate,some very severe and severe desertification of land has been improved,but the new more moderate and light desertification land is generated.For 10 to 15 years,there is obvious jump process between the aggravation of desertification and less,mainly happens in the northern plains,the dynamic trend of development is the overall expansion and partial reversal(mainly in the west).
