Abstract
Wear resistance of 18Cr2Ni4WA steel after nitriding and laser quenching was studied on a SRVⅣoscillating friction and wear tester. The results show that the hardness of normalizing and high temperature tempering sample is about 280 HV,the hardness of sample after nitriding and laser quenching is about 780 HV,and the sample has excellent wear resistance performance. The wear mechanism was also discussed.
