Introduction of Professor CAI Lian-xiang's clinical experience in treating premature ovarian failure with Chinese medicine internal and external therapy

According to Professor CAI-LianXiang,based on TCM theory and her clinical experiences,the main pathology of premature ovarian failure(POF) is kidney-deficiency,closely related with the Liver,along with disharmony of qi-blood and Chong Vessel and Ren Vessel.Combining Chinese internal and external therapy for POF treatment,methods of tonifying kidney and supplementing essence,harmonizing qi and blood,strengthening Chong Vessel and Ren Vessel,soothing and nourishing liver were used for the internal therapy,combined with activating blood and regulating qi,warming meridian and dredging collaterals methods for external treatment.This combination could significantly improve patient's symptoms caused by low estradiol level,regulate the elevated FSH level,preventing osteoporosis and cardiovascular complications.Some patients had menstrual during the treatment.
