A Note on the Definition of Singularity

Abstract

Through the demonstration of a false proposition,two definitions of singularity given in the existing literature are compared and main conclusions under the two definitions are drawn.The characteristics of singularity are discussed according to the first definition and the relationship between singularity and boundary points as well as the conditions for the existence of isolated singularity are derived.
