Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment of intracranial aneurysm and summarize the experience. Methods Retrospective analysis of 78 cases'intracranial aneurysms admitted in our hos-pital from October 2008 to March 2010 were carried out to study their clinical manifestation and image data. Results 78 patients were identified 95 intracranial aneurysms,64 patients were single and 14 were multiple. 11 patients had 2 aneurysms each and 3 patients had 3 aneurysms each. One patient combines dissecting aneurysm of extracranial carot-id artery and one combines Moyamoya disease. There were 10 cases of unruptured intracranial aneurysms, accounting for 12. 8% ( 10 /78). Posterior communicating artery aneurysms were the most common, accounting for 30. 5% ( 29 / 95). Diameter of aneurysm was mostly found in 2. 0-4. 9mm,accounting for 63. 2% ( 60 /95) ,the minimum was 1. 5mm and the maximum was 35mm. Conclusion The patients with intracranial aneurysms may onset with atypical symptoms, especially for those with unruptured intracranial aneurysms. Appropriate and timely diagnosis and treatment can significantly reduce the mortality and morbidity of patients with intracranial aneurysm.
