Survey on current situation of free blood donation in Chengde,Hebei during 2008 to 2013

Objective To realize the present situation of blood donation in Chengde and to find out more potential strategy for recruitment of blood donors by understanding the current situation of free blood donation.Methods The data of blood donors from various localities were collected during 2008 to 2013,including the numbers of blood donors,total amount of blood donation and the percentage of blood donors with 400ml.were statistically analyzed.Results There were 164 451 blood donors in Chengde during 2008 to 2013.Among them,73 375 donors were from this city,accounted for 44.6%.The amount of their blood donation occupied the first place of total amount of blood donation(49.5%).Conclusion It's the key point to maintain the rate of blood donation with 400 ml for enough blood supply in condition of large demand of blood supply,under the deficiency of recruitment of blood donors.In the meanwhile,making various propaganda according to the features of blood collecting place.A devoted humanized service for blood donors is effective to improve the strategy of recruitment for enough blood supply.
