Abstract
Miao nationality's paper-cut is the fruit of the folk custom of ethnic minorities in south China.Just like the paper-cut in north China,they come from the plural culture of Chinese nation and have different characteristics.This paper expounds the cultural environment of Miao nationality's paper-cut,reveals the totem,the symbols of witchcraft culture and the cultural and historical facts embodied in it,as well as such social functions as the practical and aesthetical functions and the function of passing on folk customs.
