Abstract
One strain of Clostridium perfringens type A was cultured at 33 ℃,35 ℃,37 ℃,39 ℃ and every temperature lasted for 6,7,8,10 h in the anaerobic beef pepsin digest broth. Then the toxin was extracted from the medium of each group and measured MLD on mice to determine the best culture condition to produce toxin-. The results suggested that culture condition at the temperature of 35 ℃ for 7 h could make the bacteria to produce more toxin. The amount of toxin-production was affected seriously by the dose of inoculation, too.
