Abstract
Objective It is to study the influence of resveratrol on immune system in rats. Methods The influence of resveratrol on the function of celiac macrophage in rats was measured with carbon particle clearance test. The level of serum hemolysim antibody in rats immunized by chicken red blood cells was measured with colorimetric method to research the influence of resveratrol on humoral immunity in rats. Results The dosages of 30 mg/kg and 15 mg/kg of resveratrol had antagonistic actions on the inhibition of cellular immunity induced by endoxan and could regain the phagocytic index and phagocytic coefficient in rats with poor immune function. The dosage of 30 mg/kg of resveratrol could also have the same action on humoral immunity function by raising the level of serum hemolysin antibody. Conclusion Resveratrol has better immunomodulatory function on immune system in rats.
