Change of Land Use and Landscape Structure in Handan Area

With GIS and landscape ecology methods,the landscape structure of land use in Handan is studied.The result showing:from 1980 to 1995,the area of low cover degree grass land ,shrub land,other forest land,forest land ,river,mountain dry land increased;however the area of high cover degree grass land,plain dry land,hill dry land,reservoir and pond,bottomland decreased.The mean patch fractal dimension of various land use decreased a little.The highest fractal dimension(1.349 1) is forest land and the lowest(1.112 7) is plain dry land.High cover degree grass land is in the midest of the formers.The patches shape of plain dry land is simple because of the strong influence by human being.Patch number in the area increased and the landscape is fragmented.The spatial distribution of patches tended to uniform.Patch congregation gradually dispersed with time passing.
