Abstract

Resisting horizontal loads and earthquake is the principal contradiction in the structural design of tall buildings.Shear wall structure and frame-shear wall structure are two common structures of lateral resistant system.Skip-floor Shearing wall structure is still in the stage of theoretical study and test. The staggered shear walls in new frame-skip floor shear wall structure are based on Skip-floor Shearing Wall structure.Seismic responses of different types of new structure and traditional frame-shear wall structure are compared in view of the conceptual design.Structure response under earthquake is calculated by MIDAS / GEN.The comparison of the results of time-history analysis under earthquake shows that the lateral stiffness of new structure is better.
