Abstract

Objective:To treat postpartum stress urinary incontinence by electrical stimulation combined with biofeedback pelvic floor muscle exercises, explore a new nonsurgical method to treat postpartum stress urinary incontinence.Methods:10 cases with postpartum stress urinary incontinence were found during postpartum rehabilitation examination,French PHENZX neuromuscular stimulation therapeutic apparatus was used for pelvic floor muscle exercises,5~8 weeks as a course of treatment,30 minutes once, once every four days.Results:9 patients recovered within one course of treatment, the symptom of urinary incontinence disappeared, one patient recovered after two courses of treatment. Conclusion:Muscular electrical stimulation combined with biofeedback pelvic floor muscle exercises is a safe,effective,non-invasive and painless method to treat postpartum stress urinary incontinence.
