Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to study the response of three turf seeds in heavy metal Cd,Pb2+ stress.[Method]Festuca arundinacea,Festuca rubra L.and Agrostis stolonifera L.were used as test material, the effect of heavy metal Cd,Pb2+ on seed germination were studied.[Result]The results showed different seeds had different response in heavy metal stress.Compared with cadmium,Inhibition effect of lead was larger.Agrostis stolonifera L.was sensitive to two heavy metals.when concentration of two heavy metals were up to 300 mg/L,seeds germinated scarcely.Even if seeds could germinate,Its quality was poor.Three seeds compared,Festuca arundinacea was most tolerate to cadmium and lead, second was Festuca rubra L.,last was Agrostis stolonifera L..[Conclusion] The study provides the theoretical basis for he ecological adaptability and resistance breeding of turf grass species in heavy metal contaminated area.
