Abstract
We investigated the effects of the stress of different concentrations NaCl solution on the seed germination and growth of three species of Trifolium introduced from SARDI(South Australian Research and Development Institute),which were Trifolium michelianum,Trifolium fragiferum,Trifolium resupinatum. The results showed that NaCl stress inhibited the germination rate of Trifolium seeds and seedling growth, that the inhibition effect enhanced with the increase of NaCl concentration, and that Trifolium fragiferum had better salt tolerance capability than that of the other two species,of such index as germination rate, seedling and root length, germination index, seed vigor index, electrolyte leakage, etc.
