Abstract
The paper shows the superiority of inert anode and requirement to the materials as inert anode for aluminum eletrolysis.Developments and researches of inert anode materials for aluminum eletrolysis are introduced,metal-based anodes and cermets anodes are especially illuminated.Cermets has good electrical conductivity,and oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.It is pointed out for the future of researching with inert anode—cermets with adding oxides used as inert anode.
