Resistance of Weeds to Sulfonylurea Herbicides

The sulfonylurea herbicides have been widely and rapidly used for weed control because of the advantages such as low application rates,low toxicity,broad-spectrum and flexible application timing in a wide variety of crops.However,the rapid development of weed biotypes resistant to these herbicides has become a very important problem that could eventually reduce the use of these herbicides.This paper summarized the status of weeds resistance to sulfonylureas,resistance mechanisms and technology to delay such resistances.
