Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of colpscopy on the clinical diagnosis of cervical disease. Methods Colposcopy was used to analyse the cervical diseases for 2191 cases in outpatient department in our hospital from Jan. 2004 to Dec. 2005. Biopsies were performed on 1019 cases under the colposcopy. Results Women were hist opathologically confirmed suffering with chronic cervicitis 646 cases; with polyps 194 cases; with cervical condyloma acuminate 18 cases; with CIN and carcinoma 161 cases of all 1019 cases, include CINⅠ 91 cases, CINⅡ 39 cases, CINⅢ 14 cases, Cervical cancer 17 cases. CIN patients is often occur in the patient between 30 to 45 is 60.42% (87/144), Cervical cancers is often occur in the patient between 35 to 45 is 52.94% (9/17); 98.61% of the cases with CIN showed acetowhite epithelium under colposcopy. In the cases with punctuation and/or mosaic, the specificity increased in diagnosis of CIN. Conclusions Colposcopy can diagnosis early stage carcinoma of cervical to interventing its development can prevent cervical carcinoma occur and can early diagnosis and early treatment. Combining with colposcopy and biopsies is a safetive, reliable and accurate method in cervical carcinoma screening.
