Abstract
The tall fescue seeds are pretreated by 20% PEG—6000.The results indicated that the pretreatment of PEG could improve sprouting ratio and sprouting index of tall fescue seeds, decrease conductance and content of MDA,increase activity of dehydrogenase. These showed that lipid peroxidation was slow down, biomembrance repaired easily, germination enzyme activity improved and so metabolism promoted normally. Then, this could improve seed vitality much better.
