Abstract
The progress in the studies on inert anode which was made by NiFe_2O_4 based cermet is reviewed in this paper.The main processing for the inert anode made by NiFe_2O_4 based cermet is summarised.This material has the advantages of the low solubility in fluoride melt containing dissolved alumina,low electrical conductivity and the resistance to the anode ox- ygen,but it also has the problems of poor resistance to thermal shock and bad connecting property to external current conduc- tors.
