The Public Information Service of Agricultural University Library for Rural Area

The rural-oriented public service is one of the main tasks and social responsibility of the contemporary agricultural universities.As information center,how to adapt to the new situation,improve service quality,and better play its role of public information services for rural area,these questions must be seriously studied and resolved by the agricultural university library.This paper analyzes the resource advantages of the agricultural university library for public information services in rural areas,and puts forward some suggestions to improve the quality and effectiveness of services.
