Abstract
Vibro-replacement stone column was suitable to be used to reinforce soft soil foundation consist of sand,silt,silty clay,soil or miscellaneous fill.However,its applicability should be validated firstly by field test when be used on the saturated loess or cohesive soil foundation with undrained shearing strength less than 20kPa.The applicability of vibro-replacement stone column on liquefied foundation and some related important questions were discussed in this paper.
