Abstract
The coupled equations of Spar platform and wake oscillators are established according to the rigid characteristic of the Spar.A validation is carried on using the method for a model Spar platform,and the results show that the lock-in region using our method agrees with the experimental date very well.The real Spar is calculated by the method,and the time histories of Spar platform and wake oscillator are obtained.It can be observed that,the amplitudes and periods of the vortex induced Spar motions are bigger than the usual vortex induced vibrations.
