Comparison Research on the Effect of Shield Tunnel Traversing Adjacently under the Existing Pile Foundations

Shield tunnel that traverses through under existing pile foundations in a close distance will cause some negative effect.In this article,engineering analysis method and numerical finite element method were used to study the effect caused by shield tunnel that goes through under an existing pile foundation.The lateral displacement and stress distribution of the pile bodies were calculated,and the results from two kinds of methods were in good agreement,which proved that the present methods are reliable.The results are helpful to estimate the safety of the pile foundations.
