Analysis on the reasons of 12 rabies cases bitted by dogs

Objective To study the reasons of people bitted by suspected mad animals.Method Investigated and analyzed the rabies cases by epidemiological methods.Results 3 patients wounded by dog without injected whole vaccine,and died at 40~82 days after biting.2 patients who injected rabies vaccine late,died at 33~55 days after being bitten.The other 7 patients who did not inject rabies vaccine,or injected rabies vaccine but did not inject passive immune agents,all died at 17~67 days after being bitten.Conclusions Conjunctive use passive immune agents,disposal wound timely,injection rabies vaccine were critical to prevent rabies.
