Abstract
Objective To investigate whether caspase-6 was activated during resveratrol-induced apoptosis of rats'nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells CNE-2Z.Methods The changes of caspase-6 mRNA was detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.The changes of caspase-6 activity was determined by colorimetric assay. Results After CNE-2Z cells were treated with 0 μmol/L,30 μmol/L,60 μmol/L,120 μmol/L,240 μmol/L resveratrol for 24 hours, respectively, the expression of caspsae-6 mRNA was increased in a concentration-dependent manner(P0.01).The caspase-6 activity was increased in a concentration and time-dependent manner(P0.01).Conclusion Caspase-6 is activated during resveratrol-induced apoptosis of CNE-2Z cells.
