Abstract
Objective To investigate the behavior of smoking controlling and its associated factors among medical staff.Methods A total of 600 medical workers were selected with the cluster random sampling method and investigated in 3 cities of Jiangsu Province.Results Among the medical staff,54.6% of them reported that they asked the patients about the smoking conditions,91.8% of them provided the smoking cessation suggestion to the smoking patients,and only 18.8% attended the train of smoking control.The Logistic regression showed that the factors associated with the actively providing smoking cessation advices were correlated with their education and smoking conditions.Conclusions The medical staff consciousness of smoking control is poor,they are short of the smoking cessation knowledge and their capabilities of smoking control need to be improved.
