Intraocular lens implantation in cases of posterior capsule rupture during cataract extraction.

Abstract

Objective To explore the method for artificial crystalline lens implantation in posterior capsule rupture cases during cataract surgery.Methods Had a review and analysis on 23 cases of posterior capsule rupture during cataract surgery and artificial crystalline lens implantation from Jaunary,2004 to June,2005.Results After the surgery,vision was lower than 0.3 in 2 eyes,0.4-0.7 in 18 eyes,0.8-1.0 in 3 eyes.Conclusion In cataract surgery,various reasons can cause posterior capsule rupture,good vision can be obtained if manage the situation and implant artificial lens correctly.
