Abstract

[Objective] To understand the molecular epidemiological characteristics of some rare serotype Salmonella with pulsed field gel electrophoresis(PFGE) in Shanghai. [Methods] 22 strains of Salmonella including seven serotypes were isolated from different sources.PFGE were performed by genomic DNA digestion with Xba I restriction enzyme.[Results] Significant difference were expressed between two strains of Salmonella Lexington and two strains of Salmonella Hvittingfoss in electrophoretogram map.Homology were expressed in electrophoretogram map for two strains of Salmonella Montevideo, two trains of Salmonella Langensalza, two strains of Salmonella Uppsala, five strains of Salmonella Schwarzenground and foure strains of Salmonella Pomona. [Conclusion] The epidemic strains of rare serotype Salmonella and Salmonella strains in food are expressed either as homology or non-homology in Shanghai. To make a comprehensive surveillance and real-time molecule typing analysis can predict the epidemic of rare serotype Salmonella.
