Abstract
Theoretically, for the development of the spontaneous combustion of coal, the air(or oxygen)must be flow into the place where coal is deposited. But the spontaneous combustion propensity is different with the concentration of oxygen.According to the experiments for many coal samples under the different concentration of oxygen, the relation of the velocity of oxygen consumption and the concentration of oxygen is analyzed and the nature of oxygen consumption of coal is discussed. The results are of importance to understand the process of spontaneous combustion of coal.4figs.,2tabs.,7refs.
