Solving the Problem of the Difficulty in Seeing a Doctor and the High Cost of Getting a Treatment by Strengthening the Social Function of the Government

Many factors contribute to the problem ofthe difficulty in seeing a doctor and the high cost of getting a treatment. Based on the analysis of the implications of the public medical care,the different models of medical care systems in different economic systems,and the causes of the weakening of the social function of the government, this paper points out that the solution to the problem ofthe difficulty in seeing a doctor and the high cost of getting a treatment lies not only in the effect of the reform of the medical care system,but also in the extent to which the social function of the government is fulfilled.It is therefore suggested that the best countermeasure to the problem ofthe difficulty in seeing a doctor and the high cost of getting a treatment is to adapt to the needs of the harmonious society, transform the function of the government,strengthen the social management and build a government oriented to public services so as to deepen the reform of medical care,and public health system and raise the quality of medical care services.
