Reasons for the Declining of Tibetan Buddhism in Modern Mongolian Society

In the Early Qing Dynasty,Tibetan Buddhism grew rapidly in the Mongolian areas due to the ethnic religious policies of the Qing Dynasty.Nevertheless, the situation changed greatly in the late Qing Dynasty as Tibetan Buddhism declined fast.This paper is to analyze the reasons for the declining of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolian society.Basically,the religious policies of Qing Dynasty,the influences of Confucianism,the rising of enlightenment movement,and the expansion of the monastic economy were the major reasons.
