Abstract
This study made further researches on the effects of language on the memory of spatial scenes via 3 experiments. The results of Experiment 1 indicated that the spatial sentences affected the processing of pictures and resulted in the memory's turn into the cores of spatial categories. The results of Experiment 2 showed that the memory for spatial scenes could be influenced by accompanying spatial language. Experiment 3 investigated the effects of space expressions inconsistent to the physical space relation, and showed that the links existed between the space expressions and the physical space relations. The whole study indicated that spatial language influences the memory for spatial scenes, and this effect could be explained by the theory ofthinking for speaking.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
