On Mencius' Thought of Population Harmony

Abstract

Meng Zi's thought of population harmony is an important part of his doctrine,which not only emphasizes harmonious population itself,but also advocates harmony of population with nature and with society.The ideas such as the people ranking highest in a state,human nature being originally good and unity of Heaven and man are core of thought.The paper analysed main contents of and approaches to population harmony so as to propel building of harmonious society in our country.
