Abstract
Deng Xiao-ping's view on talents is a creative one. Creative talents refer to those with great courage and perseverance in innovation who have such high political quality as strong sense of responsibility and deep devotion to their work, who have such ideological quality as the unification of emancipation of the mind with the practical and realistic concept and who have such cultural quality as sturdy knowledge of science and culture and the ability to apply it into practice. It's the demand of the present times to cultivate creative talents, which is based on education. Therefore, educational reform should be deepened.
