Abstract
Polymerizable emulsifier of maleic acid esters was synthesized with Span 60 and Maleic Anhydride. It was then applied in the reaction of starch graft acrylamide inverse emulsion polymerization. The impact of initiator concentration on the conversion and grafting rate of polymerizable emulsifier was studied. Results showed that the best reaction condition for starch graft acrylamide inverse emulsion polymerization was: 2.0×10-4 mol/L initiator(Ammonium sulfate∶urea=1.0∶1.5),82 g/L MPE,reaction time 4 h and reaction temperature 55 ℃.
