Abstract

Historians have done all kinds of analysis on the reason for which Wang Anshi's political reform failed. Different schools have different ideas about the value of this reform. The author tried making fresh research on the historical event from other angels: 1. He analyzed the reason why Wang's political reform failed; 2. He discussed the two-monarch system which influenced Wang's reform.
