Reliability and validity of self-reporting questionnaire in health status of Five Zang-organs system

Objective: To evaluate the reliability and validity of the health self-assessment questionnaire.Methods: The practicability was evaluated by time and responding of the investigation.The internal consistency was analyzed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and split-half reliability.The criterion validity was evaluated by the correlation coefficient between SF-36 and this questionnaire.Result: All of the objects finished the questionnaire in 20 minutes.The recovery rate of this scale was 97.6% and the response rate of the items was between 94% and 100%.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.90.The split-half reliability was 0.83 and 0.81,the coefficient of split-half reliability was 0.84.The correlation coefficient with SF-36 was between 0.09 to 0.55.Conclusion: The scale has a good internal reliability and validity,which can be applied for assessing people's health effectively.
