Abstract
Based on the deformation data of a coal mine surface movement, this paper respectively establishes the cubic spline interpolation model and curve fitting in least-square model using MATLAB programming, and compares the prediction accuracy of the two models. After the comparison, the result shows that the two models can meet the request for deformation monitoring, prediction accuracy of the cubic spline interpolation model is more higher than that of the curve fitting in least-square model, and the fourth curve fitting model possesses the highest prediction accuracy among the selected three kinds of least squares curve fitting models.
