Abstract
The nitrogenase activities in different parts of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) plants were comparatively studied with two sugarcane varieties 'Bl'and 'B8' introduced from Brazil. The nitrogenase activities were quite different in different parts such as leaves, internodes, roots and rhizosphere, which showed considerably higher in the internodes, roots and rhizosphere.
