Abstract

AZ91D magnesium alloy is one of the most widely used magnesium alloys in the production.The present status of the research and application of semi-solid forming magnesium alloys was reviewed in this paper,including the microstructure characteristics,the thixotropic and rheological behavior and the forming process of semi-solid magnesium alloys,as well as the mechanical properties of the semi-solid magnesium alloy parts.The developing prospects and key points of the semi-solid forming AZ91D magnesium alloys were also discussed.
