Abstract
Conceptual design is an important phase of product design.In this phase,product properties costs are mainly determined.However,whether a design is good or not is usually evaluated qualitatively through designer's experience,which may be subjective and inaccurate.In this paper,a fuzzy evaluation model for conceptual design of gearbox is presented,which can give a quantitative and objective evaluation of design.How model can be solved is also discussed.Finally,an example is illustrated.
