Death Analysis of Malignant Tumors among Residents of Dalian from 1981 to 2003

Objective To study the trend of cancer's mortality rate,PYLL and life lost rate among residents of Dalian city during 1981 to 2003.Methods Cancer's death causes and mortalities for sex and ages were analyzed with line-trend by PYLL analysis methods and EPIINFOR x2.Results During 1981-2003,Cancer's mortality for both sexes had increased greatly,but life lost level had decreased sharply.PYLL standardized rate at ages showed average number of PYLL for male was higher than that for female after 45 years old.Yet the trends of both sexes were the same,which a peak had reached during 55～64 years old.The top five causes of cancer death in male were as follows: lung cancer,liver cancer,gastric cancer,esophagus cancer,colon-rectum-anus cancer.Also those for female were lung cancer,gastric cancer,liver cancer,colon-rectum-anus cancer and mammary cancer.In terms of PYLL rate,the first five causes leading life lost for male were liver cancer,lung cancer,gastric cancer,leukemia,mammary cancer and colon-rectum-anus cancer;and for female were lung cancer,gastric cancer,leukemia,mammary cancer and colon-rectum-anus cancer.Conclusion Cancer premature death for male was more serious than that for female,which death age had delayed.And the age of life lost peak for male was advanced to that for female.
